About the Role
The Innovation and SME Program Officer will play a key role in delivering and supporting programs . You will assist with program development, participant engagement, and smooth delivery of initiatives.
Currently the two key programs that you will be working on are the Stack+ Female Founders Program and the Cyber Security for Queensland Program however other programs may be added to your portfolio.
Fully flexible, some travel through Regional Queensland. It is a full time role although happy to have up to 30 hours for someone who is entrepreneurial and working on a side hustle or still studying.
We are looking for someone passionate about innovation, emerging technology and trends, cyber security , small business, regional Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development and Planning
- Assist in creating program content, including workshop materials, learning modules, and resources.
- Research trends and emerging practices in IT, cybersecurity, and innovation to ensure program relevance.
- Coordinate and support facilitation of virtual and in-person workshops. (If you do not have experience in facilitation or training that is OK, we can help you develop that skill.
- Engage participants and provide support to ensure they get the most from the programs.
- Manage program logistics, including scheduling, participant communication, and travel arrangements.
- Participant Support
Community and Ecosystem Building
- Help foster collaboration between participants, mentors, and industry stakeholders.
- Organise and contribute to networking opportunities and events.
Reporting and Administration
- Track program outcomes and participant progress, collecting feedback to refine delivery.
- Assist with preparing reports for stakeholders.
- Manage program documents and ensure smooth operational processes.
About You
You’re an organised, proactive, and tech-savvy individual with a passion for innovation and cybersecurity. You’re looking for an opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to meaningful work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with Canva and digital content technologies.
- Proficiency with digital technology’s and understanding of trends
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Interest or background in entrepreneurship
- Qualifications in or studying IT, cybersecurity, innovation, or a related field or practical work experience
- Knowledge of challenges and opportunities in regional Queensland.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in program delivery, facilitation, or coordination.
- Prompt Engineering
- Experience in small business or start-ups.
