We are looking for a suitably qualified individual to provide research, project, and business analysis support on a fixed-term basis, to a project team undertaking a preliminary study as part of an Advance Queensland Connects program.
This is a short, fixed term contract required between April and June 2024 with most hours required between April and May. The person is required for approximately 2 days a week for a fixed term of 30-34 days or equivalent hours.
Please note that this is a short-term contract and is not a project directly with any Government Agency or University associated with the delivery of the Queensland Connects Team.
There is a possibility of extension or further work depending on success of grant applications.
This is a predominantly work from home arrangement for a Queensland resident although proximity to team members in Brisbane or Townsville will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
We require approximately 34 days. The role pays between 400 and 470 per day.
The successful person would work with the Project Team to identify exact roles, duties and expectations within that period but would include but is not limited to the following activities.

Project Background
The Advanced Queensland Queensland Connects program is a regional entrepreneurship acceleration program that supports regional leaders to develop a detailed understanding of the strengths of their region or sector.
The program brings together teams who nominate to work on a shared vision and collaborative initiatives for an identified regional/industry challenge (their ‘must win battle’) or to unlock key regional opportunities that will help connect and grow the region or sector.
Cohort 4 teams are part of a dedicated round focused on Climate and Disaster Resilience and Preparedness. This Cohort is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement.
As a result of the Activities of this program, Team Connectivity was successful in obtaining amount of minor seed funding to undertake preliminary activities to develop a preliminary model and briefing for their identified must win battle.
For context, the Connectivity team identified that connectivity is the literal and figurative backbone of community confidence, capability, and capacity in communities. Further, that the ability to be able to participate and thrive in a digital economy supports sustainable resilient communities.
The team identified a must win battle is to solve the sustainable connectivity challenges in regional Queensland that are impacting community resilience, economic development and community by establishing a holistic and overarching framework and model that would connect in various support programs and initiatives.
